Role Purpose:
Hiring talent, and more importantly retaining it, is incredibly important to our businesses, meaning that the Head of Talent has a key role to play in the success of the organisation. You will play a crucial role in contributing to and mobilising an exciting evolution in our strategy to attract, recruit and develop Early Careers talent.
Spanning both Apprenticeships and Graduate populations, you will drive innovative transformation, delivering industry-leading initiatives that will have lasting impact on the growth and development of our people.
In addition to the incoming talent you will also bring structure and engagement to the development of our internal talent by launching and championing a new performance management platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying the organisation’s needs and working to create and implement an efficient talent acquisition strategy to improve recruitment and business performance
- Develop and deliver a market-leading talent attraction approach to source high potential school-leaver and graduate talent, including a branding campaign and student engagement activities
- Full lifecycle recruitment responsibility for aligned Graduate and Apprentice cohorts, including assessment approach, assessment centres and candidate and offer management
- Develop and launch a Graduate Programme, including bootcamp training, ongoing development, rotation management and cohort experience
- Drive the evolution of our Apprenticeship offerings, including orientation experiences and ongoing learning and connection interventions
- Organising and overseeing individual and team training programmes
- Planning regular employee performance reviews and feeding back to the business
- Developing and implementing employee retention programmes or strategies
- Understanding workforce planning and resource forecasting
- Developing effective strategies for identifying skills gaps within the workforce
- Understanding current recruitment trends
- Developing and implementing strategies to attract diverse candidates to all areas of the business
- Monitoring and reporting on staff turnover rates
- Use data-driven insights to monitor the effectiveness of recruitment strategies
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in the Early Careers space, spanning Apprenticeship and Graduate intakes, and a deep understanding of industry best practice
- Experience in running targeted Early Careers attraction and recruitment campaigns
- Experience in recruitment legislation, assessment centre build and selection utilising DEI best practice
- Experience with Early Careers development programming
- Ability to interpret data/information and build high quality presentations
- Project management skills
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proven track record to multi-task, prioritize challenging demands, and work in a fast-paced, changing, global environment
- Strong focus on teamwork with experience working in virtual team
- Able to motivate, challenge and guide stakeholders.
- You will be curious and be seen as a changemaker to increase the internal and external profile of the business.
