Internal Comms and Engagement Executive
Support and deliver the communications strategy to drive engagement, our vision and our culture
Role Purpose:
We are a growing business based out of our two offices in Wimbledon and Portsmouth as well as working from home across the UK. In this role you’ll be the champion for internal communications within the business and you’ll support and deliver the communications strategy to drive engagement, our vision and our culture. You’ll develop inspiring and exciting key messages as well as regular communications to make everyone feel part of Iglu no matter where they are based.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive content creation across our intranet to excite and engage our teams including the weekly newsletter and other interesting news pieces.
- Monitor and maintain the content across the intranet ensuring all information is up to date and correct, looking for ways to expand and improve the content.
- Maintain and develop the look and feel of Iglu communications through varied design and visual layouts.
- Take the lead on organising the in office and virtual events calendar with regular socials, fun and competitions.
- Help deliver engaging and educational DE&I awareness activities.
- Take a key organisational role in the two large scale events of the year, the Summer and Christmas parties, supported by a small social team.
- Maintain our staff benefits and offers, ensuring all information is up to date and correct.
- Support the Iglu Voice initiative providing help to collect and analyse questions, feedback and survey responses.
- Work alongside other HR teams to support and collaborate on People Team projects.
- Develop relationships across the business becoming a point of contact for those wishing to share news, shout-outs and information.
- Help our charity committee create a calendar of events and facilitate fundraising initiatives.
Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with communications technologies
- Understand principles of copywriting, graphic design, layout and publishing
- Bags of enthusiasm, experience and a real passion for communications, employee proposition & engagement
- You will be curious and proactive and be able to show flair for unique content creation.
- Evidence of detailed events planning and organisation.
- Things move fast around here! So, you will need to be comfortable operating at pace.
- A great role model for our values and beliefs, and a champion for putting our people’s experience first
- A background in Marketing or other creative communications roles would be an advantage
