THE TEAM

This role will work closely alongside the Ski Product and Development teams to improve the customer facing online product across www.igluski.com. As our Senior Product Designer, you will join an experienced product and development team, working with Agile methodology to bring exceptional user experience and site features to our audience.

ROLE PURPOSE

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead on the design and build of digital products and services for our site. The successful candidate will handle the full spectrum of user interactions with the Iglu Ski site, with a particular focus on delivering UI improvements, UX optimisation and ensuring design consistency through the implementation of a design system.

Our Senior Product Designer will be confident and ambitious to bring new visions to life, adept at working at pace, able to prioritise effectively and clearly communicate with multiple stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proposing and drafting visual concepts.
• Identifying design problems and devising elegant solutions.
• Translating concepts into wireframes, prototypes and user flows using Figma.
• Redesigning key pages and templates on our site to increase their efficiency and usability.
• Creating new components, working with a design system to set design standards and ensure best practices are adhered to.
• Ensuring consistency and best practice UX on our website.
• Developing designs using HTML/CSS, working alongside our development team.
• Conducting research and insight projects to understand our user and stakeholder needs.
• Creating user personas and user journeys.
• Conducting user research and usability testing to ensure the end-product design provides users with the optimum experience in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and engagement.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of product design experience.
• Expertise in standard software such as Figma is a must, alongside strong HTML and CSS skills.
• Ability to work with stakeholders to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet business and user needs.
• A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
• Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
• Thorough understanding of accessibility best practice and WCAG guidelines.
