About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps engineer to join our growing team. As a devops engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping our internal developer platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality and scalable developer tooling focusing on speed, stability and standardisation of the CI/CD pipeline and deployment processes. We have big plans as a business and technology will be at the heart of it. Key Responsibilities:
CI/CD Pipeline Development & Management:
Design, build, and maintain robust and efficient CI/CD pipelines using tools like Teamcity, Bitbucket Pipelines, Octopus Deploy etc.
Implement automated build, test (unit, integration, end-to-end), and deployment processes.
Integrate security scanning and vulnerability checks into the CI/CD pipeline.
Optimize pipeline performance and ensure scalability.
Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD pipeline issues.
Automation & Scripting:
Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages like Python, Bash, Groovy, or similar.
Develop and maintain automation scripts for build, deployment, and infrastructure management.
Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for automated infrastructure provisioning.
Automate configuration management
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to understand their needs and implement effective solutions.
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues during development and deployment
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS.
Implement and manage containerization and orchestration platforms like ECS.
Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs and performance.
Implement security best practices in cloud environments.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Create and maintain clear and concise technical documentation for infrastructure configurations and processes.
Share knowledge and best practices with the team through training sessions and documentation.
Stay up-to-date on AWS technologies and industry trends.
Willingness to learn new technologies using own initiative.
Experience / Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or a similar role, with a strong focus on AWS.
Deep understanding of AWS services, including EC2, ECS, Fargate, S3, RDS and others.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation (we use CloudFormation )
Experience with observability platforms like Datadog or New Relic
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines focusing on tools like Teamcity and Octopus Deploy.
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement cost-saving measures in AWS environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with development teams.
Experience with Microsoft technologies (C#, .netcore, .netframework)
Experience with Linux.
