Our Mission
Founded 20 years ago, Iglu.com is the UKs leading Cruise and Ski holiday provider. Our mission is to provide our customers with the best holiday experience possible. Using world class travel experts to support, inspire and guide customers to reach their holiday dreams.
Our Teams
We currently run 8 teams that consist of a variety of over 30+ Engineers, QAs and Product Owners. Our goal is to make our teams as autonomous as possible. By reducing the number of processes it allows our teams to communicate freely and be accountable for the solutions that they implement. We believe that too much process can slow us down. However... We have strong opinions around how we:
- Communicate with our customers
- Introduce hardware and software platforms
- Deploy hardware and software
- Monitor platforms
Our teams operate either using Scrum or Kanban. They pick the most appropriate way to get things done and are encouraged to try new ways on working.
Our Challenges
Moving from a traditional travel retailer to an online ecommerce company does not come without its challenges. From real time pricing and product availability, booking with multiple suppliers, up to the minute data that the teams can make decisions on are just some of the challenges we face on a day to day basis. There are lots more that we need help solving and we feel that each new team member brings unique strengths that helps us get one step further to achieving this.

People are at the heart of the Iglu. We strongly believe that everyone in the department has a voice. Be that a junior developer, product owner or service desk engineer. We operate a very casual dress code and the offices are open plan with whiteboards to drive inter and cross team discussions.
We have a depth of tech and business experience and knowledge from a varity of industries. This allows us to give you the guidance, support and training you deserve and in an environment with colleagues that share common values.
