Reports to: Sales Manager

Summary of the role:

To assist in the day to day running of the call centre, ensuring team sales targets/objectives are met on a daily basis. Lead, coach and develop your team of cruise consultants (circa 10 staff) to maximise sales performance.
Key responsibilities:

  • Manage team to achieve individual and team daily revenue and monthly commission targets (as agreed) 
  • Manage team activity to ensure achievement daily outbound call targets to meet minimum call duration requirements 
  • Deliver agreed team conversion, new lead and data capture targets to maximise sales opportunities
  • Monitor team’s call back calendar to ensure all customer call back expectations are met or exceeded and follow/maintain daily lead management report
  • Monitor calls to ensure agreed structure for all calls is being followed
  • Undertake daily sales team briefings (briefings to include figures, product knowledge, role plays, destination and cruise line knowledge)
  • Undertake daily call listening with cruise consultants for coaching and development 
  • Manage weekly and monthly performance one to ones for all team members, identifying continuous improvement plans and training,  coaching and development requirements
  • Provide weekly feedback to Customer Service Director regarding team performance 
  • Complete any other tasks required by the department from time to time to cover holidays/sickness

The Person:

  • Customer focussed with a passion for excellent customer service
  • Previous experience of managing a sales team in a call centre environment (travel/cruise industry experience would be an advantage)
  • Able to coach and develop team members in a targeted environment
  • Excellent IT skills, able to interpret sales performance data and ensure high levels of data capture are maintained within the team
  • Excellent planning and organising and time management skills

Work Pattern:

The role is a flexible work pattern worked over a 40 hour week.
